Get writing with Elaine Baker (11-13 years)

Join us for a pick’n’mix session of creative prompts for developing characters, stories and dialogue in your poetry and prose. A relaxed opportunity to write and share together, with buckets of inspiration, encouragement and celebration!
Designed for young people aged 11 – 13 years. Places are limited to 15 participants – please book in advance to secure your seat. Choose to pay what you can afford during checkout – £2.50, £5, or £7.50.
Please note: Parents and guardians are not expected to stay for the workshop – Dragon Hall is located a short walk from the city centre and is surrounded by shops and coffee shops. If the attendee has needs which require additional support, please book an essential companion ticket.
About the workshop leader
Elaine Baker is a poet, teacher and mentor. She lives in Norwich. Elaine has a passion for inspiring the next generation and works with young writers. She’s been Poet in Residence in Nomura’s rooftop garden in the City of London, the rural Vale & Downland Museum and the National Poetry Library. She is the author of poetry chapbooks, Winter with Eva (V Press) and five-point-palm (Red Ceilings Press) and her work has appeared in a wide range of journals, e-zines and anthologies.
