Residencies

We are making plans for our 2022 residency programme for writers and translators at the National Centre for Writing, collaborating with a range of partners. Check out the opportunities section for any open calls, alongside information about residencies in other UNESCO cities of literature.

We are continuing our virtual residencies for translators and writers, bringing national and international voices and ideas to Norwich and beyond through commissions, podcasts and online events.

In 2022, we will offer residencies in the cottage at Dragon Hall for writers and translators from the UK and elsewhere.

The Dragon Hall Cottage is a small two-bedroom house with sitting room, library, kitchen and bathroom. There is a small terrace, leading to the Dragon Hall garden, and a library in the reception area in the main building. Please note that the stairs up to the bedrooms are rather steep, in typical Norwich style.

The use of our self-contained, self-catering, serviced accommodation for residencies is offered with all Covid-secure measures in place as outlined by government guidance.
